MERIDIA SIDE EFFECTS CLASS ACTION filed by CONSUMER LAW GROUP INC.

CONSUMER LAW GROUP has filed a Canadian class action lawsuit against the makers of the weight-loss drug Meridia and the generic equivalent (Sibutramine), manufactured by Abbott Laboratories and Apotex, on behalf of individuals who have suffered from an adverse cardiovascular event.

Adverse cardiovascular events caused by the weight-loss drug Meridia or the generic equivalent (Sibutramine), includes the following symptoms:

• Heart Attack
• Stroke
• Intermittent cramping
• Chest pains
• Other heart-related events

All residents in Canada who have taken and/or purchased the drug Meridia or its generic equivalent (Sibutramine Hydrochloride Monohydrate) since December 28th 2000 and their successors, assigns, family members, and dependants are encouraged to sign up for this class action in order to receive compensation.
